Is it sourced directly from the exchanges? **For stocks,** spreadsheet users receive real-time quotes **directly from the IEX exchange**, covering **all actively traded U.S. stocks** including those listed on Nasdaq and NYSE. API users receive **Smart Mid**, a proprietary price model **derived from IEX data** that estimates fair value based on top-of-book depth, recent trades, and quote activity. While not consolidated across all exchanges, it provides a **fast, liquidity-aware view of the market** for **non-commercial use**. **For options,** real-time data is delivered **directly from OPRA**, aggregating feeds from all U.S. options exchanges including **Cboe, NYSE, and Nasdaq**. This ensures pricing is fully aligned with **official exchange prices**. ## Do you offer pre-market and after-hours data? Yes, we provide pre-market and after-hours data. Live quotes cover the IEX extended session, which runs from 8:00–9:30 AM and 4:00–5:00 PM ET (shorter than the full extended trading hours available on other exchanges). For the full pre- and post-market day, our candles data includes all activity reported by the official exchanges (SIPs). You can access this through the API or directly in Google Sheets using our add-on. ## How far back does your historical data go? We offer historical stock and options data and going back to 2010. For some stocks, data may be available further back, depending on the symbol. ## Can I use your data for commercial or display purposes? Our self-service plans are designed for personal and internal use. If you'd like to use Market Data for commercial purposes, redistribution, or public display, we'll work with you to find the right option for your use case and budget. Depending on your needs, exchange licenses may also be required. All plans use the same high-quality data sources, but access levels vary. **Free plans** are limited to **historical data only**. You **can't access today's data**, and **yesterday's data becomes available after the market opens** the following trading day at **9:30 a.m. Eastern Time**. Historical access is also limited to a **maximum of one year**. **Paid plans** include access to **real-time** and/or **15-minute delayed data**, depending on the plan you choose. You'll also get **access to the current day's data** and **historical coverage beyond one year**. _Example:_ If today is **Tuesday**, free users can access **Monday's data** starting at **9:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday**. ## Do you offer delayed data for cost savings? Yes, our low-cost Starter Plan includes **15-minute delayed options data**—ideal for users who don't need real-time access to options and want to keep costs down.
