We’re excited to announce that as of May 1, 2025 Market Data is officially a registered IEX data vendor. What does that mean for you? If you’re on a paid plan and using our Google Sheets add-on, you now have access to real-time, top-of-book quotes from IEX — one of the most respected exchanges in the U.S.
What You Get
Starting today, all users who sign the IEX agreement can access:
- Official IEX bid/ask quotes (TOPS) — updated in real time
- Direct exchange data — no delays, no estimates, no workarounds
- Full integration into Google Sheets — no setup required beyond signing the IEX agreement
This is the same data that powers institutional platforms — now available in your spreadsheet.
Why This Matters
Until now, many spreadsheet tools relied on delayed sources for quote data. With this new integration, every paid Market Data plan now includes real-time exchange data directly inside Google Sheets.
No more waiting for prices to update. No more worrying about the accuracy of your source. Whether you’re screening stocks, building a custom dashboard, or monitoring price levels throughout the day, you now have the speed and precision that serious trading and analysis require.
How to Activate It
This data is included in all paid plans at no additional cost — but IEX requires that users sign a short agreement before enabling access. You can find the form in your customer dashboard. Once submitted, we’ll unlock real-time IEX quotes in your spreadsheet immediately.
What About API Users?
While IEX quotes are only available in Google Sheets for now, API users haven’t been left out. All paid API users now receive access to a derived feed based on IEX data — a real-time product we call Smart Mid. It’s built from IEX quotes and provides a calculated fair value that updates live. All API users already have access — no exchange paperwork is needed to use this product.
A Step Toward Full Exchange Coverage
Adding IEX is part of our broader commitment to give every trader, investor, and analyst access to official, real-time U.S. market data — directly inside the tools they already use. This is a big step forward, and we’re just getting started.
